However, we were able to test the Nissan Maxima which went 5.7 seconds faster. The Cadenza’s suspension absorbs bumps well and keeps body movements in check. Cadenza’s steering feels light and comfortable. However, it is still competent.

Fuel Economy and Real World MPG

According to EPA estimates, Cadenza’s fuel economy is below that of rivals like the Maxima and the Toyota Avalon. Despite its EPA rating at 27 mpg, our testing revealed that the Cadenza was fuel efficient. It achieved 31 mpg over our 200-mile highway fuel-economy route.

Interior, Comfort, & Cargo

The 2020 Cadenza’s well-built, classy cabin offers all the luxuries of its competitors–and more. The exterior visibility is also excellent. High-quality, elegant interiors are a result of the best manufacturers. Our Limited test car had leather-trimmed seats with gorgeous quilted panels. However, the ventilated front seats could not be seen cooling our hindquarters. The Cadenza’s trunk can hold six suitcases, which is comparable to the competition. Kia made the rear seatbacks stiffer to increase structural stiffness. The back seat has no center pass-through, which allows for more storage. With its foldable second-row, the Maxima is an ideal airport runner.

Infotainment & Connectivity

Cadenzas are equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. This touchscreen features in-dash navigation, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, and a large 12.3 inch infotainment touchscreen. UVO eServices is also included. This telematics system can diagnose a mechanical issue, notify the driver when maintenance is needed, and call for assistance in case of an accident. A variety of USB ports are found throughout the cabin, as well as a wireless charging pad for smartphones.
